Allison is a Red Seal chef and a mother. In 1994, she graduated from George Brown College’s Culinary Management Program and completed her training under Chef Jamie Kennedy. She’s worked on organic farms, taught cooking classes at Conestoga College, started a small authentic farmers’ market, and coordinated a local food box program for the Guelph Community Health Centre. In 2006, Allison developed, co-founded and managed Artisanale, an upscale French Bistro & Café in Guelph that was founded on a philosophy that ingredients should be locally and sustainably sourced.

As a mother, she knows that life gets busy, and it can be difficult to put a wholesome, nutritious meal on the table every night. We can all use a little help to eat healthy, so the The Busy Locavore was conceived with this in mind. Let us cook good food for you, when you’re too busy to do it yourself.
