WE WANT YOU TO EAT WELL

We all want to eat tasty, wholesome food, but we don’t always have the time and energy to cook it ourselves. We don’t always have ready access to local and sustainably-sourced ingredients, either. When we get busy, it’s really easy to buy food that’s convenient, but not what we would choose to eat if we had a better option.

FLAVOUR IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY

Our menu features some favourite comfort foods and some lesser-known international dishes. We maintain close relationships with farmers and suppliers to find the best ingredients, then we use classical cooking techniques to turn them into delicious takeout and prepared meals.

WE WANT TO BE HEALTHY

We keep portion sizes reasonable, and offer lots of lean proteins, vegetables, and healthy grains. We avoid overly-processed fats, sweeteners and artificial flavours. We cook from scratch and we source ingredients locally whenever possible. We serve meats that are raised using natural production methods (no growth hormones, no antibiotics and no factory farms). We only select fish and shellfish that is Ocean Wise certified. We will always have vegan, vegetarian, dairy- and gluten-free options available, and because we cook from scratch we can accommodate most dietary needs.

Please note that we are no longer a peanut-free restaurant. Anyone who asked about peanuts, had to avoid all "nuts", so it seemed we weren't catering to anyone by avoiding just the use of peanuts.

WE WANT TO BE SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE

In addition to using sustainable ingredients, our vision for this business includes treating people well, supporting the community, and respecting the environment. Maintaining a small menu keeps the quality high as well as reducing waste. We believe that using local farmers and suppliers, and paying our employees a fair wage are the only way to ensure that all of us can be well fed. We use eco-friendly and recyclable packaging so that the Earth can be a place to grow good food in the future.
